Hamilton Beach 31197R Countertop Oven with Convection and Rotisserie

Hamilton Beach 31197R Countertop Oven with Convection and Rotisserie Review

I have been looking for a counter top convection oven with rotisserie for along time. I started out with the Wolfgang Puck Convection Oven with Pizza Oven but had to send back 3 of them. One to another company and two to Amazon.com. The Oven doors where all messed up and do not seal. Hence, you can't really cook in it. Poor Quality Control. Thats when I decided to try this Hamilton Beach Oven. I actually like the design much better. Its large capacity and you can convection back Pizzas right on the oven racks. Our pizza came out wonderful on the convection back cycle.

I just baked a pork roast in it with yams under the roast with cranberry sause and cloves seasoning on top. It baked wonderfully without heating up my kitchen. I live in the desert and I was looking for a way to bake all summer without heating up my house. Its great.

I will be trying the Rotisserie today. Can't wait to put my own chicken on it. I really got tired of purchasing store bought rotisserie chickens. I can now purchase an organic chichen and have much better quality of meat and cook as many as I like. Just this feature alone will pay for the cost of the oven. If I figure how many store bought rotisserie chichens I have purchased already, it won't take long for the oven to pay for itself. I have looked all over town trying to find Butcher's Twine to try up the chichen or other meat and use the rotisserie. Again, Amazon had that item as well. I purchased 370 feet of Butcher's Twine inexpensively right here.

Needless to say, I highly recommend this oven. If you are looking for a convection oven without paying high prices, then this is the oven. I was skeptical at first and hesitated to order because the price was under a 0. Please don't let that stop you. Its a great working oven and you get a bargin to boot!!

New Kitchen Appliances That Every Kitchen Should Have

Everyone loves good food, some of us even love to make good food. For people who enjoy cooking and working in the kitchen, new kitchen appliances have made our jobs fantastic and much easier. Things like blenders have made puree much easier, dishwashers have made clean up a breeze, but what about some other appliances that can help you while you're cooking and preparing? There are several of those as well.

A microplane grater is a great tool. It is based off of an old wood working tool. With a handle and a long slender grater it makes grating cheese a cinch. The way it is formed makes it easy to handle and you can easily grate hard cheese and chocolate, even some spices if you'd like. Erasing the old notion of a grater this microplane grater puts no strain on your hands and wrists like the old fashioned cheese grater.

Are you sick and tired of having stacks and stacks of different measuring cups? Then Adjust-a-Cup measuring cup is just what the chef ordered. Instead of picking out a new measuring cup every time you need to measure something out, you can simply use one kitchen tool. With a simple twist of the bottom you can adjust it to whatever measurement you need, and pushing the bottom up removes any and all left over mess inside so you can use it over and over without having to wash it every 5 seconds.

Dual kitchen timers are amazing. Most microwaves and ovens have built in timers but what if you're not in the kitchen? What if you need a timer for two dishes while you go and take care of preparing for a family get together or a party? A dual timer is perfect for this exact reason. You can take it with you so you will know exactly when each of your dishes are done and you won't have to worry about burning cookies or dinner ever again.

Everyone and anyone that enjoys cooking, baking and preparing meals needs some new kitchen appliances. They can make your jobs in the kitchen easier and faster. There's no need to fuss and fight with old appliances and tools turning your supposed joyous cooking occasion into a confusing and frustrating nightmare. Look into new and useful kitchen appliances and tools and get too doing what you love to do. Create a masterpiece for you and your family with a little help from some really cool tools.

Discount Toasters

Have you ever imagined over the morning breakfast that the toast you really enjoy comes from a toaster which seems a lesser complex device but indeed a small box of wonders. An electric toaster is not very much a complex machine, but there's more going on in that little slotted box then you probably think of. The basic principle of bread getting into the slot, slot gets hot, toast pops out is easy enough to follow, but what's really going on beneath the toaster cover is a bit more complex and quite interesting to understand.

Here's how it works. A rider present in the slot holds the bread. When the handle is depressed the rider carries the bread down into the slot. Grates close around the bread to center it and an electromagnet holds the rider down until the timer goes off.

At the same time a pair of contacts are forced together, sending current through nichrome wire that is crisscrossed over a mica sheet. This causes the highly resistant nichrome to produce a great deal of heat very quickly. The bread is toasted (i.e. lightly charred) by infrared radiation produced by these heated coils. When the timer, i.e. the toaster's Darkness Setting, goes off the electromagnet is deactivated, causing the spring-loaded tray to pop up and disengage the contacts, which in turn breaks the circuit and stops the current from flowing through the heating element.

Now the next time you go to buy a toaster you don't really need to keep this in mind but in reality what you have to consider is the other functional aspects of the toaster. Here are some features to look for when deciding which toaster is the best choice for you.

o Slice #: 2 slice toaster or 4 slice toaster.

o Slot Size: Standard size slot or extra wide slots.

o Removable Crumb Tray: Handy for cleaning.

o Defrost Function: To unfreeze frozen bread.

o Bagel Setting: To perfectly toast bagels.

o Reheat Option: Warms without browning.

o Browning Controls: For precise browning.

o Cancel Button: Stops toasting immediately.

o Self-Centering Bread Racks: For even toasting

o Extra High Rack Lift: For easy removal of small items

o Toaster Cover: Keeps unit clean/protected when it's not in use.

On the second hand find out more about the toasters which suit the criteria. Short list the toasters and read their reviews. Also compare them on their prices before you make your decision. A good toaster is the open which is functional, easy to clean, fits in your budget and comes with a warranty.
